Sir Iqbal AKM Sacranie OBE Chairman Board of Trustees Sir Iqbal has over 40 years of experience in accounting and business. He takes a keen interest in community engagement programmes and is much respected within the community. Sir Iqbal has been actively involved in voluntary capacity with community and charitable work for over four decades. He Chairs and sits on number of national and international charitable and community organisations. He has served as Chairman of Muslim Aid – an international relief and development agency serving in more than 70 countries.He is Deputy President of World Memon Organisation (WMO), an umbrella body of the Memon community worldwide whose primary aim is to alleviate illiteracy and poverty in under developed countries. He was the founding Secretary General of the Muslim Council of Britain (MCB), a national umbrella and representative body of British Muslims. He is a member of International Advisory Panel (IAP) of the World Islamic Economic Forum (WIEF).He has been member of the Board of Governors for Leeds Metropolitan University since 2008.He is a recipient of number of national and international awards. He was awarded OBE in 1999 and was knighted by Her Majesty in 2005 for services to charities and community.

Haroon Karim Deputy Chair "Brother Haroon has played an active role in the development of the Al-Risalah Education Trust. He was the chair of Balham Masjid Committee and assisted with the opening of the Balham Prep School. He served as chair for Balham Prep/Al-Risalah School since 1993 to 2004. He was appointed the deputy chair for Gatton Primary School when it opened in September 2004. He was instrumental in the construction and funding project of Gatton and Orchard School. Haroon is well known within the community for the services rendered for Balham Mosque Memon Centre and Al-Risalah Trust Schools. "

M A Niazi Brother Ayaz has been instrumental in leading and developing our educational establishment. He has developed a keen interest in advancing education both here and in Pakistan. He is the Founder of Niazi Foundation which has been established in Pakistan to provide education for children with disabilities. Ayaz has great enthusiasm for fund raising for the purpose of educational advancement especially for children with disabilities.

Farouk Valimahomed Brother Farouk has extensive experience of governance and property development. He is currently the chair of governors for Gatton Primary School. He also served as chair of governors for Orchard Primary School when established. He has been active within the local community and is currently the chair of Balham Mosque. Farouk has been instrumental in the latest expansion project of Balham Mosque. As part of his commitment towards community cohesion, he works closely with the Wandsworth Council, Borough Commander and local community organizations. He sits on a number of forums including the Wandsworth Hate Crime Forum.

M Naieem Siddiqui Brother Naeem is a founding member of the Balham Preparatory School. He worked incredibly hard in giving the school a strong foundation to build upon. The Trust has developed significantly due to his energetic work during the first 10 years of the organizations existence. Naieem and members of his family continue to support the Trust with their professional expertise.

Moulana Maksud Gangat (Director) Moulana Maksud started teaching in 1995. He was employed as a Religious teacher and school imam. Since then he has taken various leadership roles including headship. Ml Maksud is a graduate of Madinah University and a student of the renowned Sheikh and one of the most senior scholars in the country, Hazrat Sheikh Moulana Yusuf Motala. He serves as a governor at every school and is responsible for the strategic direction of the Al-Risalah Trust and works closely with the leadership team of all Trust schools. Ml Maksud is the chair of governors of Orchard VA Primary School and chairs the Teaching and Learning committee at Gatton school. He also sits on the Board of Governors for Fircroft School, which is a Wandsworth Community School. Until recently he was also a governor at South Thames College.
